Exterior Emulsion Paints is a water-based exterior wall finish suitable for dry to moderately humid climatic conditions.
PERFORMANCE FEATURES & BENEFITS
Exterior Emulsion Paint offers excellent resistance to chalking and weathering in comparison to cement paint. It gives cleaner shades which do not fade and last longer. It offers good anti algal performance in dry to moderately humid climatic conditions. However it may completely prevent the growth of black algal spots in excessive rain fall areas / coastal belts.
RECOMMENDED USAGE
Exterior Emulsion Paint is an exterior wall finish that can be applied on warious types of exterior cement plasters , asbestos sheets and concrete structures.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATION
Freshly plastered Surfaces :- This must be allowed to cure completely cleaning. Ensure that the surfaces to be painted is free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Any previous growth of fungus, algae or most needs to be removed thoroughly by vigorous wire brushing and cleaning with water.
Filling :- Surface imperfection such as holes, dents, fine cracks are to be a mixture of white cement base AFCORA wall putty.
TECHNICAL DATA
COVERAGE :- On normal masonry surface by brushing 50-60 Sq. Ft / Ltrs. / 2 Coats.
DRYING TIME :- 30 MINUTES
GLOSS LEVEL/ SHEEN LEVELS :- 2-8 on glass plate at 60°C
FLASH POINT :- Not applicable
STABILITY OF THINNED PAINT :- Use within 24hrs.
SHELF-LIFE :- Years from date of manufacture in original tightly closed containers away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
RECOMMENDED PRECAUTIONS
Kindly refer to the the safety data sheet for Indian paints AFCORA which gives detailed information on safety , measures while handling the paint. Do not apply when ambient temperature is less than 10°C or if the temperature might drop to this level within 4hrs of application. Do not over-thin or over-extend the brush. Stir well and strain before use. Tinted paints need thro rough shaking immediately after addition as well as before use.
Excessive bird dropping/ spitting may affect performance of the product.
POST APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
For the best performance of the paint, ensure proper washing and cleaning of all algal and fungal growth, if any , at regular intervals of six months.
